Singer and songwriter John Denver touched millions of people. He also achieved the status of a superstar by his folk-inspired pop hits with a lot of them being set in Colorado. He was born Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. in Roswell New Mexico he fell in the love of Colorado and eventually settled in Aspen. Denver's popular state anthems has drawn many people visitors to Colorado. G. Brown, curator of Colorado Music Hall of Fame declared the following: John Denver is the only performer to embody Colorado. The year 2011 was the year that John Denver was selected as the first Hall of Fame inductee. Denver is a symbol of the state across the globe. In my journeys, you come across someone from another part of the globe, someone from New Zealand and you say 'I'm from Colorado The first word to come you hear is Oh John Denver! Brown stated. Take Me Home Country Roads was one of Denver's biggest solo success after performing alongside small folk ensembles. It was written by and produced by Bill Danoff. Danoff initially wrote the song to Johnny Cash's tune in the back of his mind, however Denver was aware from the very first time he heard the initial versions that it would be a big popular. The song was performed at Washington D.C. to a massive crowd, Denver did a song recording just a few days afterward.
