Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer who is known for his distinctive mix of soul gospel jazz R&B and R&B. From Broadway to European clubs and festivals, Avery Sunshine has been a hit all over the world. Her real name is Denise White. Though she lives in Atlanta, she originates in Chester Pennsylvania where she began music by performing as well as playing the piano at churches. After attending Spellman College, Atlanta she embarked on her journey of music in Atlanta's R&B musical scene. Sunshine came to national interest during four consecutive performances during the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was subsequently invited to sing at the Obama's inauguration ceremony in 2009.
