Emeraude Toubia

Emeraude Tubia (Canadian actor) is known for playing in Freeform's fantasy series Shadowhunters as well Venevision television series Cosita linda and Voltea to be enamored. A dancer and model by trade, Toubia has also achieved great success in both of these fields. A Montreal resident, she was born and raised as a child in Texas and has been attracted to dancing. In her early years she began to learn diverse forms of dance. When she was 15 years old, she was taking part in beauty contests. In 1999, she made her first on-screen appearance in Televisa's children's program El Mundo de los Ninos. Toubia rose to fame when, in 2008 she was a contestant in Nuestra Belleza Latina season two of Univision's beauty pageant. In 2010, she made her debut on stage as a receptionist in an episode of Telemundo's television show Aurora. The year 2015 saw her starred in her first feature film, the action-drama Tattooed Love. Toubia was recognized for her performance on Shadowhunters, Toubia was nominated for the Teen Choice Awards for Choice TV Actress: Fantasy/Sci-Fi in 2017 and 2018.
